3 Simple Steps That Are Implemented in SLA Printing!

3-D printing is quite a known technique these days. Before few years, it was very difficult to get the exact prototypes of even a part of an object. But now, the technology has gifted us with it. SLA, also known as Stereolithography is a process of 3D layering which produces a solid and a plastic made three dimensional objects by using CAD programs. So how does the whole process work? Step 1: Creating a model in CAD:

Once you have your drawn model ready, you can speak to the designer about how exactly you want the model to look like so that there are no last minute disappointments. Also ask the printer company if they have created similar models in the past and take a look at the drawings. The designer working in the 3D printing firm can be of a great help in creating a model.

Step 2: Printing the layers:

Once the model drawn in the CAD software is finalized, the SLA apparatus cuts your model into thin layers. The printer then paints these layers and brings out the liquid plastic out of the tank by hardening it. Thereafter, a platform comes down near the tank and the printer prints the next layer.

Step 3: Getting the product:

Until the layers are conjoined and the moulds are prepared, the process keeps getting repeated. As soon as it is over, you will get a complete 3D prototype of the model you wanted for yourself. It feels great to have a finely finished three dimensional product in your hand.
