What is Low Detail Oil-Based Plastic (ABS)?

Low Detail Oil-Based Plastic (or ABS) is a polymer plastic that is oil based with a high melting point and is very strong and hard. ABS is widely used in a range of things like car bumpers, motorcycle helmets, and golf clubs (due to shock absorbance) and legos.

ABS is a common thermoplastic, meaning it can be melted and solidifies as it cools.
